Authors’ Workshop Held in Berlin

June 15, 2026

At the end of May 2026, contributors of the planned journal Special Issue gathered in Berlin to discuss their draft papers. The event, titled Making and managing dependency relations in the European Union: The case of Ukraine, was hosted by Zentrum für Osteuropa- und internationale Studien (ZOiS) Berlin, with Julia Langbein as the lead organizer.

During the two-day workshop, participants presented and discussed 11 papers organized around three thematic areas: “Governing the widening of the Single Market: Transnational Industrial Policy”; “Governing the widening of the Single Market: Financing development”; and “Building developmental alliances at the level of sectors, regions and communities”.

Bringing together 23 experts, the workshop provided a valuable forum for constructive exchange, helping further refine the forthcoming journal issue.
